I've not yet used the gopro dome underwater but as it's plastic I don't see that as being a problem.
Good grip with a fair balance to it although it can be a little over balanced with a phone attached to the top when used with the GoPro, so I'd suggest placing some weight in the hollow handle for better balance.
On the whole a good item for the price, recommended.

I first tested the dome out in the bath and their were no leaks. I then used the dome in the sea multiple times on my holiday to Croatia and it worked perfectly producing great pictures with no leakages. I do recommend dismantling the dome after use in the sea and washing it all out with fresh water to make sure the sea salt doesn't corrode the rubber lining. So far no complaints with this product.

Works perfectly well. Be aware you can't reach the upper button from this dome.

The dome in the group of "dome consumer" not a professional product. It has some flaws but for the price at which it is sold, surely you can leave out. The seller was timely and precise, the excellent packaging to protect the product.

Very pleased with this product. I was one of the cheaper dome ports, but I was really impressed with it. Have not had any issues with it (touch wood) but most leakage issues with products like this come from usage abuse. This product is not meant to be submerged deep like the normal GoPro housing so if used correctly on the surface there shouldn't be any problems.
