I use this product with my hero 4. Nothing has broken but the screw adjustment which holds the go pro in place can be a little loose and moved with the right amount of force. The top is the only part which doesn't feel sturdy. Personally, I wouldn't use this gopro monopod for extreme sports such as surfing or boarding in the fear of losing the camera.

I should have read the description properly before buying as this stick doesn't have Bluetooth.
Otherwise it's a solidly made pole with good attachments.

This gopro selfie stick has been very handy over the last 4 months, it has been used constantly and is still working strong. I have used this pole mostly for follow cam with a GoPro hero 3.
The only down side is when you shoot around the sea the salt and sand clogs up the joints in the pole meaning it can't be folded easily.

I wouldn't have any issues recommending this gopro stick. It does the job, and holds the GoPro securely.
Something my previous selfie stick didn't do, often drooping one way or the other.

The gopro selfie stick has a good sturdy feel to it. However, extending and retracting is far from slick (you twist it clockwise / anticlockwise to do this). Often it jars halfway, particularly when retracting.
